Adaptive technology is any object or system that is specifically designed for the purpose of increasing or maintaining the capabilities of people with disabilities seldom be used by non-disabled people. in everyday use, adaptive technology often refers to electronic and IT-related systems- like systems that help blind or deaf individuals use a computer. examples of adaptive technology are screen magnifiers, adapted keyboards, telephone typewriters, handheld amplifiers, screen reader software, digital talking book players and closed captioning programming. I don't know anyone who has used those type of technologies. I really don't think that there is a lot of challenge to using adaptive technologies.
From last week's assignment I learned the many complications of creating your own website. It wasn't an easy task but it was a very interesting assignment!
Check out my comments for Kim and Mary!
I like what you had to say about adaptive technologies and what you had to say about assessing the students in order to find out what way they learn in order to provided them with the best education possible for their skill set and what way they learn.
