First Post

Technology has been playing a big role in my life since elementary even though technology wasn't as big of a thing or even more complex as it is today. Every class that I have taken has a either has a smart board or smart projector in order for us as students to look at the presentations during lectures or even in class assignments. Today, the more popular way of turning in an assignment is through computer you rarely see students well college students at least turn in paper work unless it is an exam. You're also able to work on group projects over computer by being connected to each other and working on the project online or through a word document over the course of time. My iPhone is definitely a prior experience use with technology considering that I use it all day everyday for pretty much everything.

In EME 2040, I hope to learn more in depth about the use of technology from a teachers perspective. I also want to learn the types and uses of different media. I just want to gain experience in the use of educational technology for planning and delivering instruction.

I have learned about my learning style that I am fairly well balanced with active and reflective learning. I am also well balanced with sensitive and intuitive learning which I find kind of shocking because I really thought I would have scored higher in the intuitive style considering that I love learning new concepts but I am so against with memorization which I know is a big part in college but just something i always had a problem with. I have a moderately preference with visual than verbal learning. I tend to remember more when I see something instead of someone just saying it to me. I have a moderately preference with sequential than global learners. I learn more and will get a better grade when I do things in steps instead of just plunging into something.
